| Description | The JRR team arrived into Perth on Tuesday, and Phil Read was out testing with Phil Lamattina and Darren Morgan, as well as Martin Stamatis having a test ride in the new Bob St Lawrence car on Wednesday. Phil's first lap was instant tyre smoke, and his second pass got him just out past 100 feet before tyre shake on the warm track, so hopefully tonight will be a bit better once some cars have run up the track and got a race groove happening. For Stamatis, he ran a shut-off at about 300 feet running a 9.23 in St Lawrence's dragster. Stamatis will still be on driving duties in his Billview Top Fueller for this weekend, as well as driving the St Lawrence Top Fueller hopefully for an exhibiton lap only, possibly this evening as one of the last runs of the night. Today (Friday - 1PM) it is a very very hot day, and the forecast for today and tomorrow is for 37 degrees, and with the cars scheduled to be running at 7pm and 9.30pm, hopefully the sun will be down and the track will have cooled off some making traction a little easier on the cars.
